Biology as a basic science is a very important source of information needed for the development of applied sciences such as agriculture, fisheries, animal husbandry, health, and pharmacy. This is because the development of applied science is generally only carried out when the basic information that supports it has been obtained completely.
In order to participate in solving problems in society and maintain natural resources to remain sustainable, the Department of Biology, Faculty of Science and Technology, Universitas Airlangga, designed a curriculum so that graduates have the main competencies, namely being able to evaluate biodiversity and follow the development of biological science and related technologies. Supported by qualified resources, complete facilities and infrastructure, biology graduates are designed to be able to solve various problems, especially problems related to the environment and reproduction of organisms.
