Dr. Fatimah, a lecturer in the Department of Biology at the Faculty of Science and Technology (FST) of Airlangga University, presented the innovations resulting from her research at The 15th Korea–ASEAN Joint Symposium (KAJS) 2026 through two types of scientific presentations: an oral presentation and a poster presentation. During the oral presentation session, the research developed by her team, titled “Potential of BioMeFert-4 Biofertilizer to Enhance the Growth and Productivity of Thailand Nganjuk (Tajuk) Shallot (Allium ascalonicum L.),” was presented by a member of the research team, Syarifah Salsabila. In addition, Dr. Fatimah personally presented a scientific poster titled “Improving Growth and Productivity of Vima-1 Mung Bean (Vigna radiata) through BioMeFert-3 Application.”
Both studies are part of the development of the BioMeFert biofertilizer prototype, an innovation developed by Dr. Fatimah together with a research team from the Faculty of Science and Technology (FST) and the Center of Excellence for Science, Technology, and Higher Education—Center for Biological Molecular Engineering Research (PUI-PT BIOME), Universitas Airlangga, to sustainably increase agricultural productivity through the use of beneficial microorganisms. The research results demonstrate the potential of BioMeFert applications to improve the growth and yield of various agricultural commodities, while also supporting more environmentally friendly agricultural practices. This participation underscores the commitment of the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences (FST) at Airlangga University to producing research-based innovations that not only hold academic value but also have the potential to have a real impact on the agricultural sector and food security in Indonesia.
